First off, it emphasized the friendship between these three main girls of Hibari, Anne, and and Botan. Well, five if you count Hibiki and Ren. The second great thing is that the actual plot goes forward. I love omake even with little plot as that is what a gag manga is. In Tennomifune Academy Class 1-7, the lovelorn Ruri Hibarigaoka (Hibari), the luckless Anne Hanakoizumi (Hanako), and the less than healthy Botan Kumegawa (...Botan) are just trying to get by.
